We are honored with His Command signified in Mr. Flemings' letter of the 6th instant.
Stating that with reference to our Report of the 4th of August last upon the subject of the legal Powers held by H.K.'s Officers for restricting the exportation of ammunition and contraband stores intended for piratical purposes, he was directed to transmit to us a despatch from H.M.'s Secretary of State for Foreign Affairs in answer to our despatch on the subject, which was founded on the Report above mentioned; and suggesting that we should enter into a consideration of Mr. Browning's despatch, together with the former papers, and report to him our opinion thereupon.
We have accordingly taken this subject into consideration and have the honour to report.
